Mixed Kids Meet Ups

Community is tremendously important to Lisa. During the lockdown portion of 2020, the need for community became so dire that Lisa gathered her closest mixed friends together for a weekly zoom hang. After a while, as things opened up, they decided to meet up in person.

In 2021, the first official Mixed Kids Meet Up (then known as Hapapalooza) was held in Golden Gate Park. This was the beginning of our sweet community.

Events range from small, casual gatherings to larger scale community events with food, music and discussion. While most of our members identify as mixed race: Asian / White, everyone who identifies as mixed is welcome. Partners, parents and children are also encouraged to attend.
